Sleep

For most Healthy adults the reccomended amount of sleep is around 7 hours. However some people may require more and others may prefer less on average. For the best results you should try testing yourself and track how you feel after differing amounts of sleep. This is as easy as keeping a notebook by your bed or opening notes on your phone. On the mornings and days when you feel more energetic and better rested, be aware and take note of how long you rested for.
Be honest in your experiment and once you find the golden time. Make sure to adhere to it in the future. Being consistantly well rested, will ease your making you less stressed and will help improve your mood overall.

Exercise
Exercise is often one of those love hate things. But regardless, if you want to improve your health, energy levels and mood you should probably get into it. You could start with something simple like a 30 minute walk each day, then progress to an occasional run or gym session. for better results you might want to find a sport or activity that you are willing to commit time to. If you find something fun and exciting it will distract you from the work that is inolved. You could even get your friends involved and make it a regular thing.
If you want an easier activity you could try Hiking, rock climbing, yoga or swimming. Its also worth mentioning that exercise is a seriously underated anti-depresant. It causes your brain to release, "feel good", chemicals like endorphins and serotonin. Not only this but attending sports and activities is a great way to remain social and make new friends.
